Omid ARVANEH (coach Omid)
was born in Munich, Germany in March 1981 with Persian, Turkish and Caucasian roots.
He first started practicing in 1988 at Hungar Kungfu when he was just 7 years old.
The next 20 years he studied different styles of martial arts and competed in Kyokushin Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Thaiboxing, K1, Sanda and Savate, among which he was awarded national and international champion titles for few.
He holds over 28 years of experience in martial arts and over 15 years in security- and self-defence training. His self-defence expertise precisely lies within Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun and Systema.
Inspiration comes from the late Bruce Lee whom inspired his way of thinking and training. Omid has visited many places to learn from the best and applies that what he learned in his local intensive training to his everyday practice and coaching today. For example, in Thailand he practiced Muay Thai Chaiya and meditation, in India, yoga and mediation. A lot closer to home, he's now right in the middle of his 300-hour yoga teacher training.
Omid is now an experienced movement-, fitness-, health-, mediation-, self-defense and personal coach, but mostly a devoted luminary.
His website coachomid.com gives more insights on his ‘Art of Movement’ concept in which he gives workshops and trainings in and outside of his Dojo.
